Elderberry Cottage is near the edge of the town of Rocky Harbour, which is in the heart of Gros Morne National Park.
Rocky Harbour is off Rt. 430 (The Viking Trail) about 70 km north of Deer Lake.
Deer Lake is 640 km from St. John's (~7-hour drive) and 265 km from Port aux Basques (~3-hour drive).
The cottage is on Pond Road, just 1.5 km from the nearest convenience store and restaurant and 2 km from the largest grocery store in the area. Rocky Harbour Pond (just across the road) has a public swimming beach and also offers boat rentals, miniature golf and other attractions. The heart of Rocky Harbour, the largest town in the Bonne Bay area, is just a few kilometres away and features many restaurants and craft stores as well as a public indoor swimming pool.
Also nearby is the picturesque town of Norris Point, which features the Bonne Bay Marine Station with gift shop and aquarium viewing areas, boat tours of scenic Bonne Bay, sea kayaking and the passenger ferry to Woody Point, which has the Discovery Centre.
